Dear Colleagues,

CompetencyWorks will begin the new year with a new project manager to lead the iNACOL initiative. Eliot Levine has recently joined iNACOL as our new Research Director, and he will have full responsibility for CompetencyWorks following the departure of co-founder Chris Sturgis at the end of this year. We are excited to announce the addition of Eliot who is a noted educator, researcher and author. You may contact Eliot at [email protected].

We would also like to thank Chris for her incomparable contributions to this project and are excited to see how she will continue to lead the field of competency education with her new endeavor, LearningEdge.

As Chris wraps up her time at CompetencyWorks, she has written a blog series reflecting on the field, its challenges and opportunities for the future:

  1. In Reflection: Can We Stop Ourselves From Slipping and Sliding Sideways?
  2. In Reflection: Eight Lessons Learned Over the Past Decade
  3. In Reflection: The Challenges and Opportunities Before Us

Thank you to all who have followed CompetencyWorks during this year, downloaded and shared our work and participated in reviewing our publications. We look forward to continuing the movement for high-quality learning for all in the new year.

Happy Holidays!

Chris Sturgis, LearningEdge
