Alyssa Weaver

Alyssa Weaver joined the Aurora Institute in January 2023 as the CompetencyWorks Intern. She supports the CompetencyWorks blog, assists with research and reports, develops interactive mapping of model competency-based programs and more. She has a special interest in promoting educational equity and supporting best practices in teaching. 

Alyssa is a MA in Public Policy candidate at the University of Chicago, expected to graduate in June 2023. She is a former educator with nearly a decade of classroom experience. She previously earned a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Marian University and a Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies focused on Education and Physical Sciences from Liberty University.
