Khamiah Alderman

Khamiah Alderman joined the Aurora Institute in January 2023. She is a senior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill studying Public Policy and African and African American Studies. Khamiah is a Charlotte, North Carolina native who is passionate about education policy and bettering the education experience for Black and Brown students.

She is currently an intern for the Center for Racial Equity and Education where she assists with programming. She is also a member of the Equity Coalition through the Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute, studying how education contributes to Black children’s wellness and development.
