When I returned from Aotearoa New Zealand, I was frequently asked, \u201cHow competency-based is New Zealand?\u201d It was never an easy question to answer because we\u2019ve created a working definition and ten <\/span>distinguishing features<\/span><\/a> of competency-based that may or may not be the right ones. Furthermore, there are at least three core drivers or bar-raising policy goals that are shaping our understanding of competency-based education: <\/span><\/p>\n
