This panel will discuss the emerging model of learning ecosystems, in which schools, museums, and community institutions collaborate to create real-world learning experiences that not only provide students with essential skills for employment, but make them feel included and inspired to become active change makers.

Session Learning Outcomes:

  1. Understand the learning science behind place-based learning.
  2. Understand the impact of place-based learning on equity and access.
  3. Examine models for engaging museums as partners in creating personalized learning opportunities.
