Leveraging Open System Leadership to Create Equitable Pathways with Authentic Shared Ownership – and Redefined Roles – Across K-12, Higher Education, Workforce, and Community Partners

Breakout Session - October 25, 2021 | 3:40-4:00pm ET

Colorado Education Initiative (CEI) is pleased to highlight three programs to watch – Rethinking College Access, Homegrown Talent Initiative, and Jumpstarting Concurrent Enrollment. Each program seeks to increase equitable access and opportunity for postsecondary pathways for students in Colorado. These projects push traditionally siloed institutions – K-12, higher education, workforce, and community partners – to work together to rethink systems and structures to better meet the needs of all students.

Session Learning Outcomes:

  1. Understand how K-12, higher education, workforce, and community partners are rethinking systems and structures to expand postsecondary opportunities for students.
  2. Consider the traditional barriers to transformative change in postsecondary opportunities for students – and how these programs seek to overcome them.
  3. Assess the learning from these programs and apply them to your own circumstances.
