Our Call for Presentation Proposals for Aurora 2021 Closes Friday

Aurora Institute is now accepting presentation proposals for the Aurora Institute Symposium 2021. Use this link to access the Request for Proposals and submit your proposal to present. The deadline for submitting proposals is Friday, March 26, 2021, at 11:59 p.m. ET.

Educators, system leaders, policymakers, researchers, philanthropists, and others come together at the Aurora Institute Symposium year after year to learn together, identify solutions to their toughest challenges, share the latest trends and innovations, and advance systems change in K-12 education. The convening is a chance to draw on the collective wisdom and expertise of field leaders from around the globe who are building knowledge and honing practices that will usher in the future of learning.

The Aurora Institute Program Committee will prioritize proposals that provide engaging and interactive learning opportunities, modeling personalized, competency-based approaches, drawing on participant experiences, and promoting dialogue and exchange.

The Symposium will be hosted virtually October 25-28, 2021, and we’ve created a variety of new presentation formats to foster a dynamic and interactive conference experience. We’ll host “Power Sessions,” “Ignite Sessions,” “Pop-up Problems of Practice,” and others. The new formats are detailed on page 2 of the RFP Questions document.

We strongly encourage presentation proposals that target specific nuances of implementation that dig below the surface and unpack rather than being very general in nature. In addition, we encourage proposals that respond to the demands for systemic change with lessons from the pandemic and bright spots that have been innovating teaching and learning for years. All proposals should be founded on the belief that all students can learn at high levels on personalized pathways based on demonstrated mastery rather than seat-time.
