2015 iNACOL Innovator Awards Honor Leaders in Blended and Online Learning

Orlando, FL (November 10, 2015) – The International Association for K-12 Online Learning (iNACOL) recognized four outstanding leaders as recipients of the 2015 iNACOL Innovator Awards this morning as part of the 2015 iNACOL Blended and Online Learning Symposium in Orlando, Florida. The annual iNACOL Innovator Awards distinguish individuals for exceptional research, innovative learning practices, and outstanding contributions in blended and online learning.

Susan Patrick, iNACOL’s President and CEO, said, “It is my great honor to recognize the recipients of the 2015 iNACOL Innovator Awards, as these individuals are shaping the future of education through the creation of learning systems that expand access, catalyze change, and yield greater equity. Nominated by colleagues and peers, this year’s award winners represent the astonishing international paradigm shift toward personalized learning.”

Research Award:

Dr. Nicola Wayer, University of Florida

Innovative Blended and Online Learning Practice Award:

Russel Burt, Point England School in Glen Innes and Point England New Zealand

Outstanding Individual Contribution to K-12 Blended and Online Learning Award:

Alison Slack, Ontario eLearning Consortium

Blended and Online Learning Teacher of the Year Award:

Paula Barr, Quail Run School, Lawrence, Kansas
