A Next Chapter: The Aurora Institute and The Learning Accelerator to Join Forces
We have some exciting news to share: The Aurora Institute and The Learning Accelerator (TLA) are uniting—bringing together two organizations deeply committed to transforming education systems to advance more equitable, learner-centered futures through personalized, competency-based approaches and holistic student development.
This partnership is a natural next step for both organizations. Aurora and TLA share a belief in the power of personalized, competency-based, and learner-centered experiences to build better futures for all of us. Together, we can do more—and do it better—for the field.
TLA brings a strong record of advancing progress across K-12 systems through applied research, field-building partnerships, and the development of practical, actionable resources and solutions for educators and leaders. Aurora contributes deep policy expertise at the state and federal levels, a respected research and evaluation practice, deep storytelling work, and a track record of convening, catalyzing, and connecting leaders shaping the future of education.
As a unified organization, we’re building on decades of collective impact. This partnership is a powerful opportunity to combine our strengths. Our unified organization, led through a co-CEO model, will bring together important coalitions to execute on our shared vision through policy, practice, progress, and people.
We’re excited to step into this next chapter—together. In the coming months, you’ll see more from us about our new journey together. As you know, change is a process–we’ll be working behind the scenes to slowly and strategically bring our organizations together. In July, you can expect news around our new name and logo. We can’t wait to share it with you!
For now, you can expect the same high-quality field-building, support, and leadership from us—from TLA’s Exponential Learning Initiative to the annual Symposium—you’ll see the same expertise and rich learning opportunities—now with more depth and capacity. We’re excited to have you along for the ride!
