Planning for all learners to ensure a personalized learning experience requires thoughtful design. This interactive session will consider ways to operationalize the Universal Design for Learning for virtual instruction. Together, participants will explore innovative solutions that align with one of the three principles, and thus, determine ways to employ UDL in everyday instruction. Strategies will focus on instruction, social emotional, and behavioral solutions.

Session Learning Outcomes:

  1. Understand how the UDL framework can be used to identify key components of effective and inclusive virtual learning for all learners.
  2. Understand ways to apply the framework to your efforts to design and plan a personalized learning experience for all learners.
  3. Understand how specific tools can further foster instructional and social-emotional solutions to optimize the personalized learning experience.
