You make a difference every day. Yet, the pandemic may have challenged you and kept you from missed opportunities. We will discuss how “Define Your WHY” takes you through activities to guide you to figure out what you love, what you are good at, and your purpose as an educator. In this Book Club discussion, you will realize you can face your fears, start your WHY statement, and identify opportunities to focus on well-being that you can use as a model for your learners.

Session Learning Outcomes:

  1. Realize being an educator during the pandemic has been difficult, making the future uncertain. Know you can move beyond your comfort zone, so you can learn and grow.
  2. Explore your ikigai through self-discovery of what you love and what you are good at. Determine if your WHY is aligned to your WHAT, and create a draft WHY statement.
  3. Take what you have learned from discovering your WHY to focus on well-being for yourself and your learners. Grow your purpose with reminders for uncertain times.
