Driven by the need for policy reform to align with the current landscape of education in Colorado, this presentation will discuss how the Colorado Department of Education’s BLI provides statewide educational stakeholders and Coloradans with opportunities to share emerging research-based practices in blended and online learning, reassess instructional and funding requirements, and prepare for future policy changes to ensure equitable learning opportunities for all students.

Session Learning Outcomes:

  1. Reflect on your knowledge of and experiences with K-12 education in blended and online learning settings.
  2. Learn about Colorado’s approach to convene the state government agency and field stakeholders to prepare for future policy changes.
  3. Gain an understanding of research-based, equitable practices to consider implementing in schools, districts, states, or other settings.
