Across the country, state education agencies (SEAs) are taking steps to support the shift towards student-centered learning models that empower young people with the opportunities to proactively shape and own their learning experiences. In the session, participants will learn about the actions SEAs can take to support districts and schools and engage directly with state leaders about actions they have taken to advance student-centered learning.

Session Learning Outcomes:

  1. Understand strategies SEAs can take to solicit support for student-centered learning and policy and practices to support the shift towards this model.
  2. Learn actions state leaders have taken to support districts and schools shift towards a student-centered model.
  3. Understand how to engage with their state education agency to collaborate on supporting shifts to student-centered learning.
