Gugma Vidal

Gugma Vidal joined Aurora Institute in August 2024 and is an Intern for the CompetencyWorks program. She is currently a senior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill studying Public Policy and Business Administration. She is especially interested in health equity research and policy development for addressing social inequities in the United States.

Previously, Gugma worked as a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Intern at Genuine Parts Company, where she focused on driving business activities toward more equitable outcomes. She has also worked overseas at the National University of Singapore, where she studied strategic health financing policies for Universal Health Coverage in Southeast Asia. Outside of work, she enjoys playing tennis and pickleball, writing poetry, and cooking.
