A Look Back to Inform Our Future: What We Can Learn From The History of Federal Education R&D
This event has been postponed until Spring 2025.
Sustained education transformation efforts and our nation’s position on the global stage will require greater public investment in education research and development (R&D). The recent cancellation of many federal research contracts has created uncertainty in the future of federal funding for R&D. But recent NAEP results underscore the vital importance of surfacing and practical applications of the new learning models that R&D facilitates. Join us, along with representatives from New Classrooms, Transcend, and other leaders in the R&D space, for an exciting conversation about education R&D.
We’ll dive into the history of federal education research and development efforts, why more federal leadership in education innovation is needed, and the levers federal lawmakers can use to positively impact schools and communities looking to implement a personalized, competency-based approach to learning.
