This student-led presentation will feature five students from Falcon Middle School in District 49 in Colorado describing their personalized learning journey. They will detail how their ownership of learning has increased thanks to their teachers giving them a voice in the classroom, giving them the ability to manage and make choices about their learning, and making learning transparent through the use of unpacked standards, learning roadmaps, learning plans, and so much more.

Session Learning Outcomes:

  1. Describe how eliciting student input, expertise, opinions, and ideas into the decisions being made in a classroom is a way to provide student voice in a classroom.
  2. Describe how learning plans offer students opportunities to manage and make choices about time, place, path, and pace of learning.
